THE ITALIAN OPEN 2019 WILL BE PLAYED AT OLGIATA GOLF CLUB, ROME

The 76th Edition will take place from 10th to 13th October. The tournament, with a price money of 7 million dollars, will be again one of the Rolex Series of the European Tour

Rome, 10th October 2018 – In 2019 the Italian Open will be held on the golf course of Olgiata Golf Club in Rome. It will be played within one year by now: From 10th October to 13th October. The Tournament, at its 76th Edition, will be again included in the Rolex Series of the European Tour and it will raffle off 7 million dollars, this price money will remain until 2027. The big worldwide players are expected for an event that, as usual, will combine sport and entertainment in order to engage also non-golfers.

The choice to host the most important national golf event in Rome is part of an agreement between the Italian Golf Federation and Lazio Region with the aim to enhance the territory towards the path to Ryder Cup 2022, which will be take place in Rome within four years at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club.

The Italian Open, the spearhead of Ryder Cup 2022 Project, after four consecutive years of tournaments in Lombardy will finally reach Lazio Region. In agreement with the Official Advisor Infront the Italian Golf Federation states its willingness to engage the whole Nation in the road to the prestigious contest between Europe and USA, which Rome is ready to host after receiving the handover from Paris.

The Sixth edition in Lazio – It will be the sixth time that an Italian Open will be played in Lazio after three editions at Acquasanta (1950, 1973, 1980), the 1994 edition at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club and the 2002 edition at Olgiata, when the victory of the Englishman, Ian Poulter, kicked off his extraordinary career that brought him to play in six Ryder Cup, among them the latest win in Paris together with Francesco Molinari and the rest of the Europe Team.

Over the years, Olgiata was the scene of several prestigious events, such as two World Cup, one Amateur World Cup, one final of Dunhill Cup, three Ladies European Tour Tournaments, some contests of Challenge Tour in addition to many national championships.

The Golf Course – Opened in 1961, the 18 holes golf course was designed by the English Architect C. Kenneth Cotton and it was deeply restyled in 2012 by the American Architect Jim Fazio. The golf course is endowed by a second 9 holes course for a total of 27 holes and by a wide Club House inspired by American Country Clubs which is perfectly suited to the wonderful natural surroundings.

La Federazione Italiana Golf, organizzatore del 76° Open D’Italia (Evento), suoi incaricati o terzi soggetti incaricati potranno eseguire riprese video e fotografiche dell’Evento. L’Utente fruitore dell’Evento in possesso del biglietto per accedere all’Open, accedendo all’area in cui è organizzato l’Evento:

  • presta il proprio consenso ad essere fotografato, registrato e filmato durante l’Evento dall’Organizzatore, suoi incaricati o terzi soggetti incaricati, e a far includere la propria immagine e la propria voce, anche elettronicamente alterata, all’interno di riprese audio-visive destinate alla trasmissione, anche televisiva;
  • autorizza espressamente l’Organizzatore a pubblicare, diffondere e sfruttare commercialmente, con qualsiasi mezzo e senza limiti di tempo, la propria voce e la propria immagine eventualmente contenute nelle Riprese, dichiarando sin d’ora di non aver nulla a pretendere in ragione di quanto sopra autorizzato e di rinunciare irrevocabilmente ad ogni pretesa economica derivante dalla diffusione e pubblicazione delle propria immagine e della propria voce anche per finalità pubblicitarie o commerciali, perseguite in qualsiasi modo e luogo, inerenti all’Evento.

L’Utente dichiara altresì di aver ricevuto adeguata informativa ai senso dell’art. 13 reg. UE 679/2016 in relazione al trattamento dei dati personali forniti nell’ambito dell’Evento
